The core principle of our work with certified divers is simple: every diver gets dives that match their skill level and personal preferences. When you dive with us, you won't be asked to buddy up with beginners - and if there's a notable gap in experience among certified divers on the boat, we split the group accordingly. The result is diving that's interesting, comfortable, and safe for every one of our guests.
Our programs cover the full range of diving available in Pattaya. We run trips out of Pattaya port, from the fishing village of Samaesan (60 km south of Pattaya), and over at Koh Chang. This lets us keep dive site repeats to a minimum - especially for divers who spend several days with us.
All trips are run on comfortable boats and include hotel transfers (both ways), two dives, full equipment rental, lunch, and drinks throughout the day. All our gear is well maintained and serviced on schedule.
Almost every dive site around Pattaya has something going on - hard and soft corals, turtles, plenty of reef fish, octopus tucked into the coral, interesting shellfish, moray eels, nurse sharks, rays, stonefish, puffers, seahorses, and more. And the wrecks? They'll impress even the most experienced and hard-to-please divers.
Visibility is generally on the lower side, but more than enough for a comfortable dive. It gets better around the outer islands, with the clearest water at the sites we reach from Samaesan. Over at Koh Chang, you're looking at visibility up to 40 metres on a good day.
We can put together an interesting, jam-packed dive day on almost any date - but which sites are available depends on currents and weather. That's why we recommend getting in touch ahead of time to plan your diving.
Pattaya's dive sites fall broadly into two groups - the inner islands and the outer islands. The inner group includes Koh Larn, Koh Krok, and Koh Sak. The outer islands are Koh Rin, Koh Pai, Koh Hu Chang, Koh Man Wichai, and Koh Klung Badan. On trips from Samaesan, we reach Koh Chan, Koh Chuang, Koh Rong Nang, Koh Rong Khon, and a rock pinnacle known as Shark Fin. For single-day wreck diving, we can hit the Mathaphon, Kut, and Khram wrecks from Pattaya, plus the Hardeep from Samaesan.
Where we dive on any given day is dictated by the tidal currents. The faster the water level changes during a rising or falling tide, the stronger the current - and current direction shifts too. Unless we're deliberately planning a drift dive, we pick sites that are sheltered from the current for maximum comfort and safety. Some sites are only accessible during slack tide, so we need to pick a day and time when the water movement is slow. If you want to check conditions yourself, tide planning apps like Tides Planner, Tide Prediction, or similar will give you a good idea of what to expect.
We also factor in wave height and direction, which depends on wind speed and direction. In winter the wind in Pattaya is mostly northerly; in summer it swings around to southerly. Wind up to around 4 m/s usually means comfortable boat rides and diving. Once it picks up beyond that, wave height starts to have a real impact on which sites are doable - some become inaccessible. Having a look at the wind forecast beforehand gives you a solid sense of how comfortable a day on the water will be, and helps you decide whether to go ahead with your dive plans.
